Is society going to blame her for wearing a frock?

I remember what my three- year old nephew told me when I asked him what time it was.
''It's sleeping time"
This one statement brought a bright smile to my face and I went ahead and hugged him. His innocence was what I loved the most about him. That childish innocence sure is lovable.

As I read the news paper today, I came across an article about a three-year old girl being raped. Yes, I am sure it's three. As old as my little nephew and probably just as innocent. She would have been hugged and kissed and sent to school. Little did she know what fate had in store for her.
And then, it happened. That horrific incident committed by a ruthless, inhuman and disgusting individual.
Somebody with no self respect and absolutely no room for love in his heart.
That little girl knew nothing. She couldn't explain what happened even after it did. All she felt was pain and all that was left behind was a scar in her life.
This is one instance. How many more? Nobody knows for sure.
People who take advantage of the vulnerable are nothing but undignified and worthless. That little girl was innocent. Is society going to blame her for wearing a frock?

I fear none.

" I am no bird and no net ensnares me. I am a free human being with an independent will.
I am strong. I am beautiful. I am independent. I am hardworking and you know what?
I fear noone."

Society is unfair. It's going to be that way for a while. Now there are two things we can do. One, give in to the injustice done to us or two, fight. Fight like never before. Come back swinging. Raise our voices against that injustice and shatter the myth that we are the weaker vessels.
We girls/ women should be bold. We should stand up for ourselves and be well aware of our strengths. People are always  going to bring us down. That's like their full -time job. But we are going to have to fight. Fight for that lady returning home late from work. Fight for that terrified little girl. Fight for that abused wife. Fight for ourselves and our future generations. Fight like we fear none.

It happened because it's India.

THIS IS INSANE.
The amount of time spent on taking this video could be used to inject an anesthetic into the tiger. It would have saved the lives of both of them. None of them had to die. The spectators could have taken some action. It was a win-win situation. And what on earth happened to the zookeepers? It happened because it's India. As simple as that.

Difficult things take a long time to happen. The impossible take a bit longer than that.

Many a times, we feel lost. Defeated. Destroyed. Let me make one thing clear, you are not the only one.You are not fighting this battle alone. Everybody has to work hard at some point of time. Everybody has to fail. You don't fail, you don't learn. You don't learn, you don't change.
It's all part of life. It's a tiring journey. In such times, the words of William Shakespeare are of great help. The so called father of our English language mentioned in his romantic comedy, ' As You Like It',
'' Live a little, comfort a little, cheer thy self a little.''
I honestly feel that these beautiful words are to be applied in every aspect of life. Nothing comes easy. It's all about clinging on when everybody else is letting it all go. There are no miracles. Every thing takes time. All we can do as mere humans is just enjoy the journey. Learn our lessons and go ahead. We can ' keep calm and carry on'. Sooner or later, you will achieve your goal and have all your dreams come true.
